BUJUMBURA, October 23rd (ABP) – The Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, officially inaugurated on Monday, October 21, 2024, the Tereziya polyclinic located in Gihosha County, Ntahangwa District in Bujumbura City.
During these ceremonies, the precursor of the project, Jean Népomuscène Nkurunziza, said that the establishment of the polyclinic is part of achieving the vision of an emerging Burundi by 2040, and a developed Burundi in 2060.
He then noted that this health facility employs 110 service providers, with 23 specialists including foreigners to train nationals.
He noted as a major challenge, the lack of a road leading to that infrastructure. He asked the Head of State to build a road leading to that polyclinic so that it can be accessible to patients. On the other hand, he told the President of the Republic that they have a little more space for the expansion of the health facility.
The polyclinic is equipped, among others, with units such as: internal and external medicine, pediatrics, surgery, resuscitation, laboratory, morgue, medical imaging, the Director of Operations at the Tereziya polyclinic, Janvier Ndayegamiye, said.
After the symbolic ribbon cutting for the inauguration, the Head of State signed in the guestbook of the polyclinic.
Note that the polyclinic has been offering its services since May 15, 2024.
