BUJUMBURA, September 3rd (ABP) – The members of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CVR) were sworn in on Friday 30 August 2024 in the presence of the Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, members of government, parliamentarians, the defence and security forces and diplomatic representatives, not forgetting religious and civil society representatives.
The thirteen members of the CVR swore before the President of the Republic to comply with the regulations in force and to ensure national reconciliation in the performance of their duties.
Twelve of the thirteen members were reappointed, with the exception of Cheikh Selemani Mossi, a new member appointed to replace the late Cheikh Sadiki Kajandi Abdallah.
