MUKAZA, July 15 (ABP) – The residents of the South Mutanga neighborhood have expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by landslides, during an interview with the check by ABP on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
These landslides had significantly impacted some areas, particularly near the parking lot of the South Mutanga small market, where the ongoing works are now clearly visible.
According to local residents, although the work is not yet fully completed, the progress made so far is encouraging. They commend the ongoing rehabilitation efforts.
However, the residents called the relevant authorities to continue and intensify the work, and encourage the planting of trees to strengthen the banks of the Ntahangwa River.
Note that a candidate listed for the position of South Mutanga neighborhood chief in the 2025 elections stated that the works would be fully completed soon, while promising rigorous follow-up until their completion and a report to be provided at the end of the works.
