President Ndayishimiye took the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to all Burundians of working age to actively engage in agriculture, which he described as a fundamental pillar of national development.

He expressed satisfaction with the observed yield: from 4.5 tons of seeds planted on 2.31 hectares, the expected harvest exceeds 50 tons of potatoes. “Do you understand the expected profit?”, he told journalists, illustrating the potential profitability of a well-managed farm.

According to the Head of State, land is the key resource that God has entrusted to humankind so that it can foster development.
