First Lady Angeline Ndayishimiye receives the donation

GITEGA, January 23rd (ABP) – The Burundian First Lady and legal representative of the Bonne Action – Umugiraneza Foundation, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye, received on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, a donation of cold rooms that will serve as a morgue at the Umugiraneza polyclinic, based in Kibimba Giheta commune of Gitega province (center).

The donation was offered by the Chinese company “China First Highway Engineering Company Ltd”. The First Lady then inaugurated the mortuary service with a capacity to accommodate 15 bodies.

She took the opportunity to warmly thank the China First Highway Engineering Company Ltd for the donation offered to the Umugiraneza Polyclinic. She called on the management of the Umugiraneza polyclinic to take care of the equipment.

The director of the China First Highway Engineering Company Ltd, Mr. Deng Yi, thanked the First Lady for her charitable activities that she carries out through the Bonne Action – Umugiraneza foundation, particularly by focusing on health promotion.

He thus reaffirmed that this company will continue to collaborate with Burundi in the implementation of public interest projects.

You’ve got to note that the director of the Umugiraneza polyclinic, Mr. Innocent Ntakarutimana was delighted to have a mortuary service at the clinic. To that end, he thanked the Chinese company for the donation. According to him, the service comes at the right time considering the long journey that had to be made to find the morgue.
