CANKUZO, December 13th (ABP) – Development partners working in Cankuzo province are called upon to collaborate with the administration in order to facilitate their follow-up and sustainability.
That appeal was made on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 by the development advisor in the provincial governor’s office, Mr. Ferdinand Birahanyi, at a quarterly coordination meeting of partners, according to local sources.
Mr. Birahanyi praised the efforts made by development partners in various projects.
He did, however, call on them to always comply with the communal community development plans (PCDC), in order to meet the needs of the population.
At the same time, the meeting criticized projects that leave no impact on the ground.
Those projects were challenged to change their behaviour in order to carry out large-scale projects.
Mr. Birahanyi also called on all development partners to work closely with the administration and organize joint field visits to report on the progress of their projects. That will facilitate the follow-up and sustainability of those projects.
He took the opportunity to announce that the partners will have to sign commitment contracts specifying the types of work to be carried out, to avoid work not being carried out when it was planned.
