BUJUMBURA December 2nd (ABP) –Burundi Head of State and President of the CNDD-FDD party’s Council of Elders, Evariste Ndayishimiye, joined the Bagumyabanga of the extended province of Bujumbura on Thursday November 28, 2024, at the interfaith prayer organized by that party every last Thursday of the month.
That prayer was organized under the theme taken from the book of Daniel, 4:17 “That sentence is a decree of those who watch, that resolution is a command of the saints, so that the living may know that the highest rules over the kingdom of men, that he gives it to whomever he wishes, and that he exalts the vilest men in it”.
In his welcome speech, CNDD-FDD party secretary general Révérien Ndikuriyo congratulated the Bagumyabanga people on having responded to the voter registration period.
He recalled that the month of November is very important for the CNDD-FDD, as it is a month dedicated to the party’s fighters, and urged the Bagumyabanga not to be distracted by political positions, but rather to concentrate on activities aimed at increasing production.
Drawing on scripture from the book of Jeremiah 23:1-6 and Proverbs 18:15-16, Apôtre Isidore Mbayahaga reminded the Bagumyabanga that all political authority comes from God, and asked them to obey their leaders and behave well, especially during the forthcoming elections.
Taking the floor, the President of the Republic urged the Bagumyabanga not to allow themselves to be distracted, but to concentrate on their vision. He also made them aware of the need to assess our country’s development, to consolidate the values of patriotism and to fear God.
