Evariste Ndayishimiye visits CTD

BUJUMBURA, December 13th (ABP) – On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, paid a visit to the Data Processing Center (CTD), with a view to compiling the electoral roll for the 2025 elections.

During that visit, the Head of State announced that the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) is in the process of registering the population that will be elected. That registration is being carried out by the company G&C vision, which is preparing high-quality software to facilitate the process.

He invited the people to take part in the elections with complete peace of mind, as that is not a new activity in Burundi.

He also pointed out that voting is a civil obligation, which is why all citizens are urged to turn out in large numbers.

President Ndayishimiye also explained that the purpose of the visit was to take stock of preparations for the next elections, scheduled for 2025. He noted that activities were progressing well and appreciated the speed with which they were taking place. He wished the team well and urged them to work hard to ensure that the electoral timetable is met.
