KAYANZA, February 19th (ABP) – The governor of Kayanza province (north), Colonel Rémy Cishahayo, asks any well-wisher to come to the aid of the “Maison Cana” orphanage in Rukago, Gahombo commune, which currently houses 45 children including infants.

He made the appeal during a visit there to keep his word on the promise he made on the occasion of the commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the charter of national unity, where he had promised to give a flat-screen television to this orphanage to allow the children to have fun.

Given that the buildings of the orphanage are not fenced, its representative, Sister Elodie Igiraneza, advocated for the construction of a fence, in order to preserve the safety of the children.

Faced with this concern, the governor of Kayanza province asked the technical services of Gahombo commune to conduct studies on the matter, in order to realize all the needs necessary for the implementation of the project.
