The First Lady received in audience a 96-year-old man who regained his sight after 10 years of blindness

The 1st lady greets Cyprien Vyumvuhore

GITEGA, December 11th (ABP) – The First Lady of Burundi and representative of the Bonne Action Umugiraneza Foundation Action, Angeline Ndayishimiye, received Cyprien Vyumvuhore in audience that Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Umugiraneza polyclinic in Kibimba, commune Giheta, province Gitega (political capital and center of Burundi).

Vyumvuhore, an elderly man aged 96, had come to thank her for helping him regain his sight thanks to an operation he underwent at the Umugiraneza polyclinic after 10 years of blindness, and after several unsuccessful attempts at different health structures, and that he is now able to carry out small activities according to his strength.

Finally, he pointed out that he had been longing to see the First Lady with his own eyes, an accomplished fact today. He encouraged her to continue helping others with serious illnesses.

The First Lady, for her part, thanked Vyumvuhore for his compliments towards her even before seeing each other face to face.

She thanked the Lord for seeing someone who had spent 10 years being blind regain her sight. “We need the blessings of our parents and grandparents, so I didn’t want to end the year and start the next one without receiving that blessing from Vyumvuhore.  I’m so happy that he can see now and that he is now able to carry out certain activities”, she declared.

Finally, the 1st Lady thanked all those who come to help the Umugiraneza polyclinic in the treatment of eye patients, not forgetting those who thank her in writing or by telephone.
