Christmas and New Year celebration for disabled children at the Kanyinya Disabled Center

KIRUNDO, January 14th (ABP) – The Kanyinya Disabled Center located in Kirundo commune and province, organized on Saturday, January 11, 2025 a Christmas and New Year celebration for disabled children housed in that center, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The party was honored with the presence of the Minister of National Defense and Veterans, Alain Tribert Mutabazi, the Governor of Kirundo Province, Victor Segasago, and other friends of the said center.

In her welcoming speech, the head of the center, Sister Bénigne Suavis Nduwimana, warmly thanked all the partners of the center who remain alongside those disabled children, especially the minister in charge of national defense who has supported the center for a long time and the governor of Kirundo province who has contributed greatly to the supply of drinking water in the center.

She also thanked Senator Jean Bosco Ntunzwenimana who promised to grant a Friesian cow to be able to produce manure and milk.

As for the governor of Kirundo, he promised that the provincial office will not stop supporting the center for the disabled, and that it will continue to mobilize other charitable people to provide their contributions.

And Minister Mutanbazi specified that the government recognizes the contribution of the Kanyinya center for the disabled for the well-being of those children of the country, the reason why the government remains attached to the center to support it. The Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Muyinga, Mgr. Protais Nkurikiye, through his speech, recalled that he who gives also receives; hence he invited well-wishers to come and support the center which accommodates vulnerable people.

It is worthy to note that this center for the disabled in Kanyinya organizes this celebration annually in favor of those disabled children.
