Burundian Prime Minister has received in audience Tanzanian Ambassador to Burundi

BUJUMBURA, September 26th (ABP) – Burundian Prime Minister Gervais Ndirakobuca received in audience, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the Ntare Rushatsi House, Gelasius Gaspar Byakanwa, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Burundi.

In an interview with the press after the audience, Byakanwa indicated that he had come to introduce himself to the Prime Minister and discuss the strengthening of the good ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between Burundi and Tanzania.

The two people in authority also discussed the issue of good neighborliness in the border provinces of the two countries, and were pleased to note that this is a reality and that the movement of goods and people is also flawless. To continue to strengthen the good neighborliness that characterizes these two countries, Byakanwa specified that games such as football matches are organized for the youth of the Makamba and Kigoma provinces.

He also stressed that there is a desire to organize other sports disciplines in order to continue to consolidate the good relations that characterize the two countries.

It is worth noting that the ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania took the opportunity to congratulate the Burundian government for the measures taken in favor of development.
