BUJUMBURA December 11th (ABP) – On the sidelines of the round table of development partners and private investors, the President of the Republic, Evariste Ndayishimiye, received in audience several investors and development partners present in Bujumbura, the economic capital, to attend that major event.
Those included the President of the Association of Egyptian Business Zones, and the representative of Afrexim Bank (AfriximBank). There was also a delegation from Oman, representing the company and the Oman tea production business.
He also received in audience the executive secretary of the Serdatorat community. Following that, the Burundian Head of State received a regional representative of the UNDP, responsible in particular for the Africa Support Unit.
The Burundian Head of State then received the Director of the Kuwaiti Fund, also representing the State of Kuwait. On the same occasion, Ndayishimiye received the Moroccan delegation, a very large delegation bearing a message from His Majesty the King of Morocco.
He also received a Belgian company, NEO-TECH, also keen to invest in education.
According to the Head of State’s spokeswoman, Rosine Guilène Gatoni, all those development partners and investors had come with a single message, a message of support and commitment to invest in Burundi in various growth-generating fields.
According to her, there are those who want to invest in agriculture, mining, infrastructure, education, health, the economy and many others. They are also keen to share their experiences, new innovative projects they have already implemented in their countries or organizations.
Gatoni pointed out that, thanks to all those exchanges, the Burundian Head of State reiterated his slogan “Together, everything is possible”, while being confident that that vision will be reached and achieved because all those partners are at Burundi’s side. He thanked them for their support, and called for the immediate setting up of joint commissions to develop win-win partnership frameworks.
