GITEGA, November 21st (ABP) – Burundi Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye received in audience, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in his Kibimba Palace, Giheta district in Gitega province (political capital and center of Burundi), the former Omani Minister of Energy, Mohammed Al Rumhi.
In an interview he gave to the press, the deputy spokesperson for the President of the Republic, Sébastien Ntahongendera, said that the purpose of the audience was to share his experience with Burundi in the energy economy sector. He explained that Mohammed Al Rumhi is a personality who has a long experience in the energy field because he was minister in charge of energy for about twenty years in his country, Oman. Sébastien Ntahongendera indicated that this visitor wishes to share this experience with Burundi especially in the field of hydrocarbons, the field of energy economy in general.
At the level of cooperation between the two countries, Burundi and Oman, Mohammed Al Rumhi disclosed a wish to see Burundi cooperate in the field of energy in the near future, but also in the distant future, a cooperation that must interest both countries in the sense of win-win partnership, Ntahongeendera said.
