BUJUMBURA, November 21st (ABP) – The Burundian Prime Minister, Gervais Ndirakobuca, received in audience on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the French Ambassador to Burundi, Sébastien Minot, a check by ABP revealed.

According to the head of the office in charge of press and communication at the Prime Minister’s office, Festin Ntiyumvamabwire, their discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between France and Burundi, stressing that the bilateral cooperation relations between France and Burundi are long-standing.

In terms of education, the granting of scholarships to Burundian nationals to continue their studies in France was discussed.

The discussions also focused on health relations and civil society, as mentioned by the French Ambassador to Burundi during the interview he gave to journalists.

According to him, France is also involved in the field of sports, as part of contributing to the emergence of a sporting generation of young Burundian champions of tomorrow, he stressed. Note that in this field of ​​sports promotion, the French embassy collaborates with the National Olympic Committee (CNO) and about fifteen Burundian sports federations.
