BUJUMBURA, October 2nd (ABP) – Burundi Head of State Evariste Ndayishimye received in audience, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Yahya Bin Ahmed Okeish, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Burundi, whose headquarters is based in Tanzania. He was a bearer of a message from the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In an interview with the press after the audience, Rosine Guilène Gatoni, Head of the Office in charge of Information, Communication and Spokesperson for the President of the Republic, indicated that Yahya Bin Ahmed Okeish was carrying an invitation to the Burundian Head of State to participate in the Investment Forum, a forum where investors and businessmen will meet and discuss major projects for the development of nations.
She continued to point out that this invitation reflects the good relations of brotherhood and cooperation that exist between Burundi and Saudi Arabia, as well as the need to further strengthen partnership relations through win-win partnership and cooperation frameworks in various economic sectors.
Gatoni stressed that this invitation is also part of the vision that the two countries have set for themselves; respectively the vision of an emerging Burundi by 2040 and a developed Burundi in 2060 but also the 2030 vision for Saudi Arabia.
It is worth noting that during their discussions, the two authorities reiterated the rapprochement of these two visions so that the two States can move forward step by step towards development.
