The work of the scientific conference organized on the sidelines of the celebration of the 8th edition of the day dedicated to the young members of that party “Imbonerakure Day”.
That conference, which will last two days, brings together not only the young people of the Eagle Party, but also others from the partner parties, it was noted. It takes place under the theme “Role of Imbonerakure youth in the realization of the Burundi vision of an emerging country in 2040 and developed in 2060”.
The above-mentioned conference was attended by other young people from Chad, Angola, Kenya, Congo, South Africa and Zambia who came to join the members of the CNDD-FDD youth league
In his speech, Mr. Ndikuriyo said that that conference was organized with the aim of conducting exchanges with those young people on the realization of the vision of Burundi as an emerging country in 2040 and developed in 2060.
He also praised the efforts of the Government of Burundi to support young entrepreneurs through the PAEEJ. He asked those young Imbonerakure present in that conference to get down to development work in order to contribute to the realization of the national vision and to overcome fear because, he explained, it is the enemy of youth engagement and also hinders the development of the country. The secretary general of the CNDD-FDD party also noted that all young people, especially those of the ruling party, have an important role to play in national development.
For his part, the head of the youth league at the national level, Mr. Eric Nshimirimana said that that conference is a great opportunity for the young Imbonerakure to be inspired by other young people in order to strengthen their capacities.
Mr. Nshimirimana asked the young Imbonerakure of the CNDD-FDD party to be exemplary during the next electoral period, to promote peace and security in their communities but also and above all to put efforts together to achieve the sustainable development of the country.
For his part, the head of the youth league at the national level, Mr. Eric Nshimirimana said that that conference is a great opportunity for the young Imbonerakure to be inspired by other young people in order to strengthen their capacities. Mr. Nshimirimana asked the young Imbonerakure of the CNDD-FDD party to be exemplary during the next electoral period, to promote peace and security in their communities but also and above all to put efforts together to achieve the sustainable development of the country.
Burundi vision emerging country in 2040 and developed in 2060 and policy of economic emergence and development in Africa: State of play, issues and challenges, explained that the vision of Burundi is the image of the desired future of Burundi and it is also an achievable dream of the country with good economic performance.
On that occasion, he recalled some pillars of that vision, namely the commitment of the State, economic efficiency, social equity as well as ecology and sustainable heritage.
To achieve that vision, he insisted, all Burundians must work tirelessly to contribute to the development of the country in all sectors
During the discussions, the participants recommended that the government of Burundi teach that vision in basic schools so that all children can know and learn it by heart. It should be noted that the day dedicated to the young members of the youth league of the CDD-FDD party, “Imbonerakure day”, will be celebrated that Saturday, August 31, 2024.
