BUJUMBURA, December 2nd (ABP) – Burundi Prime Minister Gervais Ndirakobuca was granted an audience on Friday November 28 in Bujumbura with Malick Fal, regional representative (Burundi, DRC and Congo Brazzaville) of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), according to local sources.
In an interview granted to the media after that audience, Malick indicated that he had met the Prime Minister to introduce the new IFC country representative in Burundi, Eugenie Aissatou Sow, and that it was an opportunity for the outgoing representative, Mariama Ciré Sylla, to say goodbye to the Prime Minister.
Secondly, according to Malick, it was an opportunity to reaffirm the IFC’s commitment to developing its programs in Burundi, and to assure the Burundian Prime Minister that the IFC still wishes to develop its activities in Burundi.
