MOSCOW (TDI), December 23rd (AMSP/CGTN) – – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that relations between Russia and China have reached “an unprecedented level” as a result of the high level of mutual trust between both nations.
Speaking at the annual press conference, Putin highlighted China-Russia relations, stating that everything that Moscow and Beijing do for each other is based on full trust.
He said that trade volume between the two countries has reached approximately $240 billion and is continuing to grow, with cooperative projects demonstrating a stable future.
“We have almost six hundred joint investment projects,” he said. In global affairs, Putin said China-Russia relations serve as a stabilizing tool.
“We regularly, almost always, coordinate our actions on the global stage, which is a significant element of international affairs,” he said.

“Russia and China are the most affected nations, which achieved victory during World War II as a result of the heaviest losses.”
Russia and China have maintained close interactions at different levels and across multiple sectors.
Chairman of the United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev paid a visit to Beijing last week.
Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Sergei Shoigu attended Airshow China 2024 held in Zhuhai, South China’s Guangdong Province in November, where he visited the weaponry hall.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov also visited Beijing in October.
