MUYINGA, February 18th (ABP) – Administrative authorities must work diligently to improve the quality of the services assigned to them. This was said on Saturday, February 15, 2025 by Jean Claude Barutwanayo, governor of Muyinga province, during the presentation of the achievements made over the last five years, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In her speech, the first deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Sabine Ntakarutimana, a native of the province, thanked the governor for the achievements made in all sectors. She noted the importance of maintaining peace and tightening security during this period of war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), as Governor Barutwanayo revealed that security is generally good.

In terms of development, he said that the people of Muyinga province and officials in general responded to the call of the Head of State to engage in development work by growing income-generating crops such as maize, avocados and coffee.

To that end, the communal administrators were particularly praised for their initiatives aimed at giving a good image to their respective communes.

Governor Barutwanayo called on the heads of services to clean the city of Muyinga and called on the population to the importance of having good personal hygiene.
