Communal administrators and other leaders urged to strengthen awareness-raising to combat fraud

CANKUZO, March 14th (ABP) – Communal administrators and other officials from various services in Cankuzo province are urged to raise awareness among the population to prevent fraud. The appeal was made to them on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, by the governor of the province, Boniface Banyiyezako, during a security meeting he held for them in Mishiha commune, a check by ABP noted.

During the meeting, Governor Banyiyezako praised the good collaboration between administrators and other officials from various departments, while encouraging them for their efforts in maintaining peace and security.

However, Banyiyezako urged all participants to redouble their efforts to raise awareness to prevent fraud and ensure proper harvest management. He took the opportunity to announce that the Burundian government will again buy the maize harvest at 1,700 BIF per kg.
