BEIJING, March 25th (AMSP/CGTN) – – China will steadily expand institutional opening up this year and promote a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization, Li Yongsha, Deputy International Trade Negotiator of China’s Ministry of Commerce, said on Monday at the China Development Forum.
China will further upgrade pilot Free Trade Zones, making FTZs frontiers of China’s efforts to support foreign trade, investment and economic cooperation through institutional reforms. Trade in services, investment, negative lists, coordination and cooperation on standards and the digital economy will be the focus of this year’s free trade agreements.
Li also said the country will add more cities to the pilot programs list for services opening up, as well as more programs in telecommunications, medical treatment and education. China will continue to play an active role in global economic governance and conduct high-quality Belt and Road cooperation to broaden converging interests with other countries, he said.
