BUJUMBURA, September 24th (ABP) – The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Public Service, Labor and Employment, Emmanuel Ngomirakiza, opened on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Bujumbura, the three-day work of a balancing training course for teachers, trainers and researchers at the National School of Administration (ENA) in the design, development and delivery of training modules, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
In his speech, Ngomirakiza said that the objective of the training is to build the capacity among teachers, trainers and researchers at ENA and to provide them with the same technique for designing, developing and delivering training modules.
He added that the Ministry in charge of the civil service fully supports this commitment so that the ENA has a relevant system of teacher trainers ready to contribute more to the promotion and capacity building of state servants and executives through the improvement and continuing training that are among these priorities. This training will be the satisfaction of the country in general and of the beneficiaries of services in particular, he indicated.
He also noted that no institution or organization can ignore the training needs of their employees for good performance and efficiency. For this reason, he said, it is imperative to adjust their knowledge to the requirements of situations to face the new needs generated by the environment.
According to him, the importance of training is no longer to be demonstrated. It is a matter of managing institutional and individual performance and therefore changes in the organizational culture of an institution.
Regarding the new government guidelines, he indicated that the ENA must focus on activities related to the development of executives and state servants, coaching and support-advice in certain areas of expertise. Added to this is the support of the State’s public policies and ensuring the quality assurance of all training offered to executives and state servants in order to contribute to improving the performance of the Burundian public administration and the services offered to citizens.
For his part, ENA Director General Jean de Dieu Ndikumana specified that this training will improve the quality of teaching. He therefore invited participants to be active using their experiences while propose opinions, suggestions and additional information that could improve the quality of teaching at the ENA.
