November 18th (AMSP/CGTN) – – While this year’s G20 takes place in Brazil, people are watching closely how China and Brazil further deepen their cooperation.
In the first half of 2024, Brazil already exported almost 30 billion US dollars’ worth of agricultural products to China. While addressing the high demand in China for Brazilian agricultural products, the President of the Brazilian Corn and Sorghum Producers Association (ABRAMILHO) told CGTN that the Brazilian agriculture industry sees cooperation with China as mutually beneficial.
” This year marks 50 years of diplomatic relationship between China and Brazil. We see these exchanges of products and services as fruits of the deepening of the two countries’ relationship. Today, a quarter of China’s agricultural imports come from Brazil. Brazilians working in the agriculture industry see this as a huge benefit from the bilateral cooperation. Brazil also needs raw materials from China to produce, and the finished products can then be exported to China. So this is a mutually beneficial situation, ” ABRAMILHO President Paulo Bertolini disclosed.
