BEIJING, March 9th (AMSP/CGTN) – – China’s National People’s Congress, the country’s top legislature, has held a press briefing on people’s livelihoods. Here’s what people had to say about their matters of interest.
“I’m more concerned about elderly care in terms of social welfare. Because elderly people at home also have inconveniences in terms of walking, I think it should be a focus for society,” High school student Sun Chufeng expressed his wish.
“I graduated a year ago and have been working for a year. Many of my younger peers are looking for jobs. It’s mainly about job opportunities. I think the housing situation in Beijing is still relatively good, and I heard there are adjustments to housing provision funds. The current housing provision fund policy can still cover part of the rental expenses, but it’s mainly a question of job positions,” Cao Hanwen, a Beiijing Resident pointed out.
“I’m graduating soon, I’m in my third year of graduate school. When I was looking for a job during my major, I always asked about any preferential housing options here. After all, after graduation, the source of income is unstable, and the majority of expenses are probably meals and housing,” said Sun Xiaonan, a Graduate student.
