Two classrooms in Ndora, in the Bukinanyana commune, were destroyed due to bad weather

BUKINANYANA, March 11 (ABP) – A torrential rain accompanied by strong winds struck the Ndora area, Bukinanyana commune, in Bujumbura province in the evening of March 8, tearing off the roofs of two classrooms at Ndora communal technical high school (LTC) and damaging some crops, according to the communal advisor in charge of communication in Bukinanyana, Onésime Tuyaharanire.

On the eve of the second trimester exams of 2026, this communal official told ABP that the school administration, in collaboration with local authorities, will ensure that the situation does not affect the conduct of the second trimester exams, which have already begun.

He expressed concern, however, that after collecting the scattered roofing sheets, many are completely destroyed and will need to be replaced in order to reuse these two classrooms for the next trimester. It should be noted that, in addition to these two classrooms, about ten others in Bukinanyana commune suffered the same fate.
