The RANAC party presents its society project

BUJUMBURA, May 28 (ABP) – The chairman of the National Rally for Change party (RANAC) Aloys Baricako revealed the social project that this party intends to implement if its candidates are elected in the legislative elections scheduled for June 5, 2025.

This was during the continuation of the election campaign in the extended province of Bujumbura, a check on site by ABP revealed on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Regarding education, Baricako stated that the RANAC party will prioritize the overhaul of education to prepare for the future, the construction of numerous schools so that no class exceeds 50 students, and a return to traditional teaching methods in primary education while promoting new technologies.

In terms of health, RANAC intends to allow equitable access to healthcare for all, provide decent salaries for doctors, and establish a ban on holding both public and private jobs simultaneously. Concerning farming, RANAC plans to reform agricultural methods by introducing mechanization and providing tractors to facilitate farmers and develop agriculture. For livestock, the focus will be on hiring veterinarians to care for the animals. The ambition is for each province to cultivate crops suited to its soil, Baricako emphasized.

In the economic sector, RANAC will prioritize enhancing the Burundian currency, aiming to reduce the dollar exchange rate to 500 Burundian francs. Regarding environmental protection, RANAC’s objective is for construction projects to comply with urban planning and land management laws, as well as the development of tourist sites.

In the sector of good governance, RANAC intends to strengthen good governance based on equity, social justice, transparency, and sustainable development. Land disputes will be settled in first-instance courts to prevent citizens from having to travel to Bujumbura. Baricako indicated that other commitments include strengthening diplomatic relations with other countries, increasing cooperatives to promote entrepreneurial activities, and enforcing zero tolerance toward officials, military personnel, and police officers involved in trade, as well as spunishment against those engaged in fraudulent commerce.

Note that through these society projects, RANAC commits to building a more united, fairer, and more prosperous country for present and future generations.
