BUJUMBURA, September 12th (ABP) – Journalists from the Burundi News Agency (ABP) participated, on Thursday, September 5, in the second workshop organized by the Russian News Agency (SPUTNIK) on the theme “Innovative Forms of Multimedia Journalism”: Podcasts.

During his presentation, Anthony Lefebvre, correspondent of Sputnik Africa, focused on several topics, including the value of podcasts as a multimedia format, the importance of increasing the number of broadcasting platforms, artificial intelligence and the importance of podcasts.

Reiterating his explanations, Mr. Lefebvre emphasized that for media consumption patterns to evolve, social networks and other popular platforms must emerge, emphasizing that the latter play an indispensable role in retaining the media audience.

Mr. Lefebvre took the opportunity to call on the participants in that workshop to always demonstrate neutrality, impartiality and objectivity in the treatment of information.

Note that that training is organized within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed in 2023 by the ABP and SPUTNIK during the Russia-Africa Summit, in the field of information.
