Mr. Gicori marks out the area that will house the classrooms and directorate

MWARO, November 26th (ABP) – The permanent executive secretary of Kayokwe district, Mwaro province, Mr. Gicori Pierre Justin on Saturday, November 23 asked the population from Benja village to contribute their efforts in the extension work of the Benja basic school.

He invited the community of that village to take in their hands this project of construction of three classrooms and the directorate, as soon as possible, for the benefit of their children. He made the appeal during the launch of the extension activities of that school which will be carried out on the means of the natives of Benja, in support of the Supervision Committee of Young Christians in Burundi (CEJCB).

In his speech, Mr. Pierre Justin Gicori urged the population from Benja village, each to bring their cornerstone. It is about the development of the present generation and the future, he added.

The representative of the Committee for the Supervision of Young Christians in Burundi, Rev. Pastor Patrice Hakizimana, hoped that the administration would be close for the smooth running of the work. He called on the natives of Benja village to develop the village to prepare for the vision of Burundi as an emerging country by 2040, and a developed country in 2060.

According to the director of the Benja basic school, Egide Nshimirimana, the school had six classrooms, from the first year to the sixth year. He specified that the pupils who finish the sixth year were directed to the Bisoro basic school, about eight kilometers from the village. Parents who spoke to a check by ABP warmly welcomed the Benja primary school extension project because it will reduce the distance their children had to travel to Bisoro. They promised to make every effort to ensure that the extension works are carried out without hindrance.
