BUJUMBURA, December 24th (ABP) – The Burundian Prime Minister, Gervais Ndirakobuca, chaired, on Monday, December 23, 2024, a meeting of the national steering committee for the General Census of Population, Housing, Agriculture and Livestock (RGPHAE), with a view to analyzing and adopting the results from the general census of the population, housing, agriculture and livestock of Burundi.

In his speech, the Prime Minister thanked the committee for the work it has done. He commended the contribution of the technical committee of the census for its smooth running.

During an interview with the press after the discussions, the chairman of the RGPHAE technical committee, Nicolas Ndayishimiye, specified that the national steering committee for the general census of the population, housing, agriculture and livestock has adopted the preliminary results from the census and has decided to transmit them to the Cabinet to continue the procedures.
