BURURI, Oct 3 (ABP) – The Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, proceeded on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Kabuye Stadium in the headquarters of Bururi commune, to present the new administrator of this commune Mrs. Godeliève Ntakirutimana to the population, an onsite check by ABP has disclosed.
In his welcome speech, the governor of Burunga province, Parfait Mboninyibuka, indicated that among its priority projects, the province has prioritized the mapping of contour lines to protect arable land. He appealed to the President of the Republic for the paving of the road connecting Bururi and Burunga.
In his address, the Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, offered numerous pieces of advice to the population. He emphasized household development, hygiene and sanitation, and hard work to improve people’s living conditions. He stated that moving from poverty to development is a fierce battle that must be confronted.
The President of the Republic asked the new administrator of Bururi commune to be a good leader, one who first knows how to organize themselves and then organize the population without partisan bias. He added that a leader who does not know how to manage their own household has nothing to teach others. “A leader must be exemplary in society,” he stressed.
After the ceremony presenting the new administrator of Bururi commune, the Head of State went to Vyanda, on Migera hill, where a mining company is extracting minerals that will be used to manufacture glass and windowpanes. The company has already extracted 500 tons of amethyst in two months of testing.
