BUJUMBURA, March 7th (ABP) – On Saturday 1 March 2025, the CNDD-FDD party welcomed 7196 new members in the Ntahangwa commune of Bujumbura Mayorship, at a meeting of the Bagumyabanga of that commune. The speech by the provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD party, Alexandre Ngoragoze, highlighting the Imbonerakure, emphasised the importance of mobilisation and discipline within the party. He congratulated the Imbonerakure on their commitment, while also reminding them of the importance of adopting exemplary behaviour, not only within the party, but also towards the population. That could maintain a positive image of the party and its members, while underlining loyalty and respect for standards, Ngoragoze pointed out.
Jean Marie Muhirwa, CNDD-FDD National Secretary for Politics and Administration, was pleased to describe the Ntahangwa commune as a “pilot” commune. According to him, the commune is seen as a model to follow in terms of organisation, mobilisation and political management within the CNDD-FDD. Muhirwa therefore urged the other communes to follow in the footsteps of the Ntahangwa commune, to reproduce the same level of mobilisation, in order to achieve good results in the forthcoming elections.
Doriane Munezero, who is a native of the Ntahangwa commune and responsible for information and communication within the CNDD-FDD party, reminded the Bagumyabanga people never to forget Burundi’s past, while stressing the importance of loyalty and gratitude to the CNDD-FDD party in the liberation of the country. Peace and security will remain the pillars of the country’s development,” said Munezero. Among the new members of the CNDD-FDD party is Bosco Mpundu, former leader of the CNL party in Gihosha. He expressed his commitment to the development and stability of the country alongside the ruling party.
The event began with a show of force by more than 7,000 Imbonerakure from the communes of Ntahangwa and Mukaza.
