GITEGA, May 28 (ABP) – The communal secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Gitega commune, Mr. Gédéon Nzobakenga, together with his communal team, concluded on Saturday, May 24, 2025, the campaign tours conducted in all zones of Gitega commune for the 2025 legislative and municipal elections, a check on site by ABP has revealed.
The closing activities took place in the Mubuga zone of Gitega commune and the Kiriba zone in Giheta commune.
The CNDD-FDD party secretary in Gitega commune, Mr. Gédéon Nzobakenga, reminded the militants in the Mubuga zone that the party belongs to them. He therefore asked them to vote for it in large numbers, committing in return to defend their interests.
He also welcomed more than 200 new members who came from other political parties, mostly from the CNL. He urged the Bagumyabanga not to mistreat members of other parties, but instead to integrate them into income-generating activities to build the zone together, and the country at large.
On behalf of the candidates for the communal council of Gitega, Mr. Valentin Nahimana, a native of the Mubuga zone, and former administrator of Gitega commune, presented the CNDD-FDD party’s key projects to the Bagumyabanga. Among these, he mentioned the consolidation of peace and security, the strengthening of various national sectors including justice for all, by supporting community mediators responsible for resolving local conflicts.
He also emphasized the promotion of responsible governance, respect for human rights, the fight against corruption and embezzlement of public funds, among others.
He finally called on the population to vote massively for the CNDD-FDD in order to achieve sustainable development. It is worth noting that the campaign tours concluded in Kiriba.
