BEIJING, March 10th (AMSP/CGTN) – – At the last Members’ Corridor of this year’s CPPCC session, political advisors from Hong Kong and Macao shared their observations of how the two Special Administrative Regions are accelerating integration into national development.
“We always say that we deal with people from all over the world, but we do Chinese things. Hong Kong shares a destiny with the mainland. This is not just an empty statement. The future of Hong Kong lies in resonating with the country. Today, the government has given Hong Kong a new strategic position, using its strengths to contribute to the needs of the country. I believe Hong Kong will be more brilliant,” Shi Ronghuai, Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Beijing Organizations pointed out.
As for, He Runsheng, Vice President of the Macao Federation of Neighborhood Associations, he indicated that Hengqin is a garden combining the advantages of both Macao and the mainland. “The integrated development of Hengqin and Macao has proved to the world that One Country, Two Systems is workable, achievable and enjoys immense popular support,” he underscored.
