NGOZI, May 3 (ABP) – The provincial directorate of education in Butanyerera organized a provincial preparatory test for the national 9th grade exam from April 28 to 30, 2026, across the entire province.
The test was distributed on Monday, April 27, 2026, to communal heads of education departments for its administration in the different communes.
According to the provincial director of education in Butanyerera, Léocadie Mukaporona, 12,859 students are expected to sit for the national 9th grade exam. It will be organized in 161 examination centers.
She indicated that this test complements those already organized at the school and commune levels.
Its aim is to familiarize candidates with the real conditions of the national exam.
Ms. Mukaporona specified that the tests cover all the subjects included in the exam program.
They would allow students to practice exam conditions, including seating arrangements, filling in identification forms, and time management.
She added that school programs have, overall, already been completed in the province. According to her, this test was set to also help assess the level of the provincial education system in order to identify shortcomings and address them.
This provincial official called on school principals to strictly respect the established schedule. She also asked communal education officials to ensure rigorous monitoring of the conduct of the exams and adherence to time limits.
She finally urged invigilators to ensure the smooth running of the exams and to report any irregularities to the competent authorities for prompt handling.
