BUJUMBURA, April 16th (ABP) – A total of 2,108 new members of the CNDD-FDD party were officially welcomed and adorned with the party’s colors on Saturday, April 12, 2025, during a ceremony organized in the Mukaza commune. Those new members previously belonged to other parties such as Uprona, CNL, and Frodebu. The event served as an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the CNDD-FDD.

William Ndayimirije, the Communal Secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in the extended commune of Mukaza, stated that the new members came from five zones: Muyira with 702 new members, Buyenzi with 251, Bwiza with 341, Nyakabiga, and Mukaza with 214.

Mr. Ndayimirije also mentioned projects implemented by his party, including the provision of clean drinking water to residents of the Muyira zone, with the construction of eight boreholes, seven of which have already been completed.

He also mentioned the efforts made in agriculture and livestock. The members cultivate Ruhere variety avocados and raise rabbits, plant trees to combat erosion, and protect the banks of rivers crossing Bujumbura. They have also distributed health insurance cards to vulnerable individuals. He urged those new members to demonstrate wisdom and encourage others in their development projects.

Honorable Dieudonné Nahimana, Deputy Secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in the expanded Bujumbura province, urged the public to avoid paying attention to rumors intended to sow discord among the people. He called on all CNDD-FDD members to maintain peace and security, especially during election periods, so that no individual can disrupt that balance.

The new members expressed their satisfaction with the CNDD-FDD, which they consider a driver of development demonstrated by different achievements such as the construction of the Intwari stadium, free access to healthcare for pregnant women, free care for children under five and the construction of schools in all regions of the country.
