MATONGO, Feb 16 (ABP) – Natives of Matongo commune in Butanyerera province (north), as well as friends of the commune, are called upon to contribute so that the four-storey communal building can be completed within the planned timeframe.
This appeal was launched on Saturday, February 14, by the communal administrator, Janvière Kanyana, during the pouring of concrete for the lower ring beam of the building currently under construction, which will house various services.
During these community development works, which brought together residents of the Ruganza zone, the communal administrator of Matongo, Mrs. Janvière Kanyana, stated that this building will accommodate various communal services and will cost approximately 8 billion Burundian francs over a period of three years. The administrative authority emphasized that, although this amount is considerable, it will come from contributions by the population.

On the same occasion, Mrs. Kanyana invited natives of Matongo wherever they may be, as well as friends of the commune, to make their contribution so that the building can be completed within the scheduled timeframe.
She also expressed her sincere thanks to the Burundian Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, who recently granted them a donation of 1,000 bags of cement.
