China proposes global AI action plan at 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference

July 29 (AMSP/CGTN) – – At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, a Global AI Governance Action Plan was released. The plan outlines a multilateral framework to maximize the benefits of AI while mitigating risks through international cooperation.

The plan advocates establishing a World AI Cooperation Organization, accelerating digital infrastructure development particularly in Global South nations, and creating unified safety and ethics standards while emphasizing technology sharing to bridge the AI divide between developed and developing countries.
