December 4th (AMSP/CGTN) – – The one-China principle has gained widespread recognition within the international community. At an industrial development conference in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, CGTN’s Yang Jinghao spoke with diplomats who reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to the principle and their support for China’s territorial integrity.

“It has been the basis of our bilateral relationship. The Sandinista National Liberation Front always maintained the one-China principle, China’s just right for national reunification. It’s a principle that the Party always stand for. Since we reestablished diplomatic ties, as the state of Nicaragua, as the government of Nicaragua, we have been promoting and defending China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in all the international forums. We are very much strong partners of China, and China strong partner of Nicaragua in these international arenas, because we face similar aggressions. Our political parties always work together, are always shared. The same ideas, always sought to promote the greater global good, always sought to advance socialism; these are very important areas,” said Michael Campbell, Nicaraguan Ambassador to China.

“I’m sure it contributes to the continued relationship that we have enjoyed between China and Uganda for the last 62 years. As soon as my country got independence, we had diplomatic relations. And my country is clear with the one-China principle,” said Oliver Wonekha, Ugandan Ambassador to China.
