MURAMVYA, November 7th (ABP) – The NGO DAPADU has donated 100 corrugated iron sheets and desk benches to the Muramvya local authority. The donation was received by the administrator of the Muramvya commune, Mme Espérance Nduwayezu, accompanied by the Communal Director of Education.
According to Frédiane Nininahazwe, legal representative of the NGO DAPADU, the donation is made up of 100 corrugated iron sheets valued at twenty-five million, 15 piputres benches and 12 office chairs worth 26,500,000fbu.
The latter pointed out that the donation was in response to correspondence from the communal director of education, under cover of the communal administration, requesting support in the form of metal sheets and desks.
She also recalled that DAPADU is active in supporting the education sector in Muramvya commune, where it has built and equipped 7 schools in the Bugarama and Ryarusera zones.
After receiving the donation, Muramvya commune education director Eric Nkurunziza indicated that the metal sheets received will be used to cover the kindergarten classrooms under construction in the basic schools, while the desk benches received will be used at the newly-built ECOFO Busimba 2.
The administrator of the Muramvya commune also expressed her positive appreciation of that donation from DAPADU, which joins other achievements such as the construction and equipping of schools and the teaching of trades.
