BUJUMBURA, May 28 (ABP) – The CNDD-FDD party continued its election campaign on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the Buyenzi and Mutimbuzi zones of new Ntahangwa commune, Bujumbura province, a check on site by ABP revealed.

In Mutimbuzi zone, specifically at the Maramvya playground, the provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Bujumbura province, Alexandre Ngoragoze, met with Bagumyabanga from various neighborhoods and zones within the new Ntahangwa commune, including Carama, Rubirizi, Mutimbuzi (host of the event), Nyambuye, Maramvya, Kirekura, Gatumba, Rukaramu, Cibitoke, Ngagara, Buterere, and Benga.

Ngoragoze’s main message was the goal of winning the legislative and communal elections scheduled for June 5 this year with over 96% of the votes, proof that the party of the eagle has taken deep root across all zones of the province, he said.

“I am confident we will win these elections because, among the 42 political parties in the race, only CNDD-FDD has placed God first,” he said, expressing hope that all 23 deputies representing extended Bujumbura province in the National Assembly and the communal councilors will come from CNDD-FDD.

He urged Bagumyabanga and sympathizers of the ruling party to remain vigilant, stressing that peace and security, hard-won achievements, must not be taken lightly. He reminded them of the legacy of the late president Pierre Nkurunziza, who often told party members: “Build the nation while remaining vigilant, for the country has no shortage of enemies.”

Ngoragoze concluded encouraging Bagumyabanga to go door to door teaching others about the party so they would vote for CNDD-FDD, listed as number 1 on the ballot, in order to continue leading the population toward a sustainable development.

During the event, he also introduced the five parliamentary candidates selected to represent Bujumbura Province. He warmly welcomed over 400 new members, including Reverend Pastor Denis Nduwayezu, a former member of the former movement Palipehutu-FNL.

Earlier, Rénovat Ciza, the CNDD-FDD secretary in Mutimbuzi zone, stated that since new leadership was established there, more than 640 new members had joined the party.

Given that Ntahangwa commune is home to one-third of Bujumbura province’s population, the communal secretary of CNDD-FDD, Jean Paul Mpawenimana, emphasized that the commune should lead in election results both at the legislative and communal levels.

He expressed satisfaction with the peace and security prevailing throughout the commune, calling it a solid foundation for achieving all desired outcomes. He also presented the CNDD-FDD candidates for the Ntahangwa communal council.
