Children from families in need have been supported with school kits

RUTANA, September 12th (ABP) – As the beginning of the school year approaches for primary and post-basic school students, the consortium of consortia of local associations working in the province of Rutana “Turerere Hamwe” has granted school kits for 410 students from 322 vulnerable families residing on 11 villages in the commune of Rutana and one village in the commune of Gitanga in the province of Rutana. It was Friday, September 6, 2024, in the capital of the province of Rutana.

That material was composed of six notebooks, two of which were 100 sheets, two of 48 sheets, two of 36 sheets; and two pens for each student, was made available thanks to the membership fees, said the representative of the said consortium Mr. Venant Bimenyimana. The equipment granted has a value of 5,245,000 BIF.

Mrs. Domine Nkunzimana, who represented the Family Strengthening Project (FR) in those activities, invited people from Rutana province to follow in the footsteps of that consortium to support other children in need because many needy children were not lucky enough to receive that material.

As for Mr. Venant Bimenyimana, he invited the children who received those school materials to take care of them and to study with courage to have good results during the school year that will soon begin.
