MUHANGA, March 9 (ABP) – The secretary of the CNDD-FDD party in Butanyerera province (north), Ferdinand Habimana, urged the members of this party in Muhanga commune to maintain the avocado trees planted by using organic manure.
Mr. Habimana made this appeal on Saturday, March 7, 2026, during a meeting with members of this commune from which he originates.
This meeting marked the celebration of the victory of the CNDD-FDD party in the last elections, a check on site by ABP has learned.
The festivities took place at Gashibuka Stadium and began with a long parade of the Bagumyabanga.
In his welcome speech, the communal secretary of the said party in Muhanga, Déus Babahokubwayo, emphasized that the members of this party translate this victory into development work. He specified that members of the party have already replanted more than 2,100,000 avocado seedlings, despite being faced with a lack of grafts of the “Hass” variety.

In response to this concern, the provincial secretary of the ruling party instructed the employees of “Green Gold,” responsible for technical monitoring, to do everything possible so that grafting be completed before the end of the current month. However, he reminded the members of the party of the importance of daily maintenance of these plantations to ensure their sustainability.
He also took the opportunity to call on owners of traditional drink establishments (Urwarwa) to ensure the hygiene of their premises. He notably recommended installing taps on serving containers in order to improve sanitary conditions.
