MUKAZA, May 3 (ABP) – The former Burundian minister of communication and media, the late Gabby Bugaga, who recently passed away, was buried on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Mpanda cemetery, following a requiem mass celebrated at the Regina Mundi cathedral.
The requiem mass was attended by the Burundian Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, as well as several high-ranking authorities of the country and members of the deceased’s family.
Among the personalities present were the Prime Minister, Nestor Ntahontuye, the Vice President, Prosper Bazombanza, the President of the Senate, Gervais Ndirakobuca, as well as the Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD party, Révérien Ndikuriyo, alongside other leaders.
Drawing on the Holy Scriptures, particularly the epistle to the Romans (chapter 14), the preacher, Monsignor Anatole Ruberinyange, recalled that every human being is mortal and that no one can escape death.
He emphasized that death is not a fault, but that the essential thing is to die well, as each person is called to answer for their actions before God. He invited the faithful to prepare for eternal life through a life guided by the values of compassion, love, and prayer.
The prelate finally prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, so that he may be welcomed into the heavenly kingdom.
