November 5th (AMSP/CGTN) – – The U.S. Presidential Election officially begins on Tuesday. Voters will choose between former Republican President Donald Trump and current Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris.
The election is turning out to be one of the most closely-fought in recent years with polls showing Trump and Harris neck and neck. Seven swing states, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, will decide who will run the White House for the next four years.
On Monday, Trump attended four rallies in three battleground states, telling his supporters that he will make a sweeping comeback. Meanwhile, Harris made a tour of Pennsylvania and claimed that the odds were increasing for her to become the first female President in American history.
NBC’s early vote tracker showed that over 77 million people have already voted in person or by mail. It will likely take time for the media to project who the winner is in this extremely close run race.
