MAKAMBA, January 22nd (ABP) – The Pentecostal Church, Nyanza-Lac Mission, through its assistance project for the most destitute people, offered 171 iron sheets equivalent to 9,809,000 BIF to 17 households in its area of activity and released two patients from the hospital, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
Reverend Pastor Charles Karenzo of the Nyanza-Lac mission indicated that each household received 10 iron sheets. He thanked the faithful of the church who provided contributions so that these iron sheets are available. He asked those faithful to continue this good gesture, so that these vulnerable people have nails and beams to roof their houses.
Pastor Karenzo also announced that two patients were released from the hospital for a sum of one million Burundi francs. He did not fail to point out that this project contributes to the learning of trades such as sewing, shoemaking and culinary art for the benefit of young people who want it. He also thanked the benefactors who supported the church to have wheelchairs and crutches for 17 people living with disabilities.
The advisor to the administrator of the Nyanza-Lac commune, in charge of social affairs, Mr. Felix Bucumi, encouraged the Pentecostal church, and called on other churches to follow suit to concretize their faith in Jesus Christ.
