The Bagumyabanga called on to be calm in this pre-election period

GITEGA, January 20th (ABP) – The Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD party, Réverien Ndikuriyo, visited, in the afternoon of Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Bagumyabanga of the Rango quarter in the city of Gitega (political capital and center of Burundi), in order to see the state of affairs of the ruling party in the quarter.

The Secretary General of the ruling party was accompanied by the national secretary in charge of culture, Mrs. Calinie Mbarushimana, the provincial secretary of the party, Georges Nshimirimana, the governor of the province of Gitega, Venant Manirambona, the administrator of Gitega district, Dr. Jacques Nduwimana, and others.

In his speech, Mr. Ndikuriyo offered the best wishes to the Bagumyabanga of the quarter while indicating that he is delighted with the peace and security throughout the country maintained thanks to the efforts of the population in collaboration with security agents.

He called on the Bagumyabanga to remain calm in this pre-election period, to attend massively the Election Day, and to always take the lead in development work. He also called on the Bagumyabanga to have a vision in their families, to give birth to children they can raise, to respect each other, to love and help those who are in other political parties while avoiding insults.

The county secretary of the CNDD-FDD party, Mrs. Christine Nitereka, said in her welcome speech that this party in the Rango quarter has welcomed several new members. She added that the residents of the quarter are ready to elect the said party but that they want the rehabilitation of inter-neighborhood roads, particularly the road passing near the Bar called Roger Milan’s, as well as the electrification of only one sub-neighborhood that has not been supplied so far.

In his remarks, the provincial secretary of the said party, Mr. Georges Nshimirimana, encouraged the Bagumyabanga of that quarter and took the opportunity to welcome about forty new members from the UPRONA and CNL political parties.

Concerning the requests of the Bagumyabanga of that quarter, the secretary general of the CNDD-FDD party indicated that he had taken note and that he would discuss with those concerned to find solutions in few days.

He also called on the Bagumyabanga to promote the cultivation of avocados and coffee in order to support the party’s priority programmes. Regarding the Bakenyererarugamba, Mr. Ndikuriyo recommended that they review the education of children and consolidate the Turerere Uburundi committees.
