The youth of the CNDD-FDD party celebrated Imbonerakure day,8th edition

BUJUMBURA, September 3rd (ABP) – The ruling party, the CNDD-FDD, celebrated on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the equestrian circle, in Bujumbura, the national day dedicated to the youth of that party, Imbonerakure day, 8th edition under the theme “Role of Imbonerakure youth in the realization of the vision Burundi emerging country in 2040 and developed in 2060”.

The ceremonies were enhanced by the Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye accompanied by his wife and other high dignitaries of the country, a check on a site by ABP has revealed. The festivities were marked by a long parade of young people affiliated to the CDD-FDD party. It was an opportunity to exhibit products from the processing and production of the various agro-pastoral cooperatives of the Imbonerakure from all the provinces of the country.

On that occasion, President Ndayishimiye appreciated the way in which the young Imbonerakure carry out development activities in cooperatives and thanked the Programme for Economic Empowerment and Youth Employment, PAEEJ, which supports young people regardless of their parties. He encouraged them to continue working together to support the national vision. President Ndayishimiye also called on the Imbonerakure to be exemplary during the next electoral period by promoting peace and security in their communities.

The secretary general of the CNDD-FDD, Reverien Ndikuriyo, in his speech, said that this day was organized to meet the pride offered to the country by the young people affiliated to the CNDD-FDD party. Those young people are, he said, the foundation of development, which is why a lot of efforts are made to teach them the ideology of the party, patriotism and entrepreneurship. Mr. Ndikuriyo invited the affiliates of the ruling party to prepare for their future, by working together in cooperatives. The representatives of the foreign delegations who had taken part in that celebration thanked the Burundian people for their hospitality. Those are Tanzania, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Algeria, Zambia, Namibia and the two parties of the Communists and the ANC of the Republic of South Africa. They expressed their belief that the unity of African youth will help cultivate Pana values and to safeguard peace and security throughout the African continent.
