GITEGA, September 3rd (ABP) – The presidential couple joined, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, the Bagumyabanga of the expanded province of Gitega in the prayer of thanksgiving organized by the CNDD-FDD party.

This prayer is usually organized every last Thursday of the month, as a way of thanking the Lord for the blessings granted to them during the past month and entrusting him with the previous month, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye thanked God for having guided Burundi in general and the Bagumyabanga in particular during that month of August, despite the temptations encountered. He said that Burundians will see things changed positively in this month of September.

President Ndayishimiye warmly thanked God for guiding him during the Inkebuzo caravan. He pointed out that the youth is already in the process towards the vision of Burundi as an emerging country in 2040 and developed in 2060.

“We have a visionary youth who have talents for innovation and the courage to work,” explained the President of the Republic. By concluding, he castigated some adults who keep the mentality of the past of begging for the hiring of the State or who seek to be rich instead of developing by squandering public goods.

He asked them to cut short those behaviours and follow in the footsteps of those young people by creating their own jobs, because, he said, Burundians are on a journey towards the vision 2040 and 2060, despite the temptations encountered in the way, but that to every problem, God always has an answer.

Based on that, he invited Burundians not to accuse each other in case of difficulties but rather to seek solutions together, to avoid vanity, to recognize God’s benefits, to never lose trust in the face of difficulties and to work assiduously. Otherwise, said President Ndayishimiye, we risk arriving in 2040 without having taken a step.

The Head of State ended the day’s program with a prayer where he asked the Almighty to remain at Burundi’s side during the month of September by endowing it with his blessings, especially rain and others.

In his preaching, Pastor Claver Ndayisenga invited the Bagumyabanga to obey God, specifying that despising God brings curses to the author. To escape those curses, he invited the Bagumyabanga in particular and Burundians in general to avoid accusing each other in case of difficulties, to avoid contempt that leads to vanity and to obey the leaders.
