BUJUMBURA, May 26 (ABP) – The assistant to the minister of public health and the fight against AIDS Dr. Inès Roselyne Nduwimana officially launched the knowledge assessment exam on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Bujumbura. This exam was administered to students trained in specialized health sciences schools and was organized by the Ministry of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS.

Dr. Nduwimana stated that the purpose of that exam is to improve the quality of education in health schools and to verify whether the students of this sector truly deserve to receive their diplomas after completing their studies.

She noted that the students came from 24 schools, including 7 public, 2 faith-based, and 15 private institutions. They completed their training in 2025 in various health science disciplines.

Among them, 663 studied in the nursing program (Nursing A2), 186 in medical laboratory sciences (Laboratory A2), 50 in pharmacy (Pharmacy A2), and 12 in public sanitation (Sanitation A2).

The exam is being conducted in 15 centers across the country, including 2 in the city of Bujumbura and 13 in other provinces.

Dr. Nduwimana urged the students to work calmly, avoid all forms of cheating, and ask questions if they have doubts about the wording of any part of the exam.

Note that the exam will take place over nine days, from May 21 to May 30, 2025.
